I learnt of it at the just concluded Wikimedia Conference in Berlin. It is not only suitable for small Wikipedias bit for the whole Wikipedia. From what I understood, it is like a repository for info boxes….so to say a ‘commons’ for infoboxes. Such that an update in one infobox affects the whole lot of articles where the infobox is used.

For instance, an upadate on Malawi presidents death is updated in all the articles where the info box is used.

It is a very good project. Keep up WMDE
