Great story of the experience!
At our Postgraduate on Museum Management we also had our students write or improve an article about a museum on Wikipedia. Beforehand, a workshop on editing was run by an experienced Wikipedian @kippleboy. Here is the page of the Wikiproject (in Catalan) http://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viquiprojecte:Museus_(IDEC-Museu_Picasso)
They were given access to the Museu Picasso resources and others. The experience was really great, also hard but rewarding at the end. A couple of students have contineud editing now and then.
We'll repeat the experience on this term: it's a good editing exercise, they have to make research and quote sources appropriately, they become aware of the strict Wikipedia editing process, they contribute to a social project, they learn, and they may become future Wikipedians!.
Thank you for sharing
