I agree with Brian Ahier, that this is a great direction to be moving in. I see in the last paragraph the purpose of the meeting is to orient the audience to WP and teach how they can contribute. I agree that this is very important, but I hope that the teaching goes two ways. I hope that the WP volunteers will be listening attentively to what the researchers have to say about how the culture and guidelines of WP can adapt to better serve both parties' missions of getting the most accurate and readable information out to the widest possible audience. Keep up the good work, but much more to be done in reaching out to experts.

This is great to hear. I have been in some preliminary talks with my fellows about getting scholarly activity credit for contributing to Wikipedia. I have also been talking with other fellowship directors in palliative medicine about this as well as the American Academy of Hospice & Palliative Medicine.

If I could be of use as a liaison to medicine I would be interested in working with you further.
